What happened to Penelope? Her books are so different now. The skull king is so soft..and kind?? Like the men used to be anti-heroes and now they just see a woman and immediately want her for life and can’t live without her. Heath is just okay until like the last few pages. I havent been able to Finish a series of penelopes since Balto. No real passion. Meh.

Review for “Lie” #8 by Penelope Sky Once Heath figured out he was attracted to Catalina he became very persistent and started chasing her, which he does not do with any woman. He shows up unannounced and demands her attention. Heath likes the way Catalina stands up to him and her zest for life and even her cockiness. These traits actually make Heath more attracted to her. They are keeping their relationship a secret. Heath is keeping a secret about himself in relation to her family and the way he runs his business. He believes that she would never forgive him because she told him up front that her loyalty lies with her brother Damien, long time nemesis to Heath. Plus his prior dealings with Damien and her father. Read this next book and see where it takes you! As always I went through many emotions reading this book too. I also found myself rooting for this couple despite the way Heath and Catalina met. Penelope Sky continues writing these great stories. I’m excited to start the next book in this series, “Secret.”

Never a dull moment!

Lie was amazing! I love how we still get to be a part of Anna and Damien’s lives through Cat and even Heath. This book was definitely panic inducing at times, specially towards the end! There is so much going on you can’t help but binge read once you start! How will Vox and the rest of the Skull Kings react when Heath walks back into their headquarters? Will Damien keep his end of the deal? How will things play out for Cat? I’m sure both Damien and Heath will be mad at her specially Damien, but I know everything will play out in its own special way and be ok! Can’t wait for Secret!

I thought Basetti family was my favorite series. Even Bones and Vanessa was one of my favorite characters. But now is a toss up with Catalina and Heath. Their passion, their love starting to blossom. Catalina shows the strength of a survivor and Heath love for her. Can’t wait until the next book.

Catalina is a spitfire and had me laughing from her crazy personality. They are my favorite characters by far. Their argumentative banter keeps you hooked because of their passion. Their story unfolded In ways I never expected. I need to see how this plays out!!
